Making Wales digital

Welsh childcare shouldn't have to settle for software built for somewhere else. So I'm building it properly: in English and Welsh from the first line of code, around how Welsh settings are actually inspected and funded.

CIW compliance, Flying Start and Childcare Offer invoicing, and Curriculum for Wales tracking, all in English and Welsh. The aim is a CIW-compliant ecosystem for Welsh childcare, with registers, children's records, parent communication and daily care connected in one place, so settings can spend their time on children instead of paperwork.

Wootzoo is mine. I built it, I sell it, I support it, and I'm on the front line with the nurseries and Cylchoedd that use it. Today 65 Cylchoedd pay for it, and over 100 are listed on the platform. It's bootstrapped, and it's made in Wales.

Mudiad Meithrin

Wootzoo has partnered with Mudiad Meithrin, the Welsh-medium early years organisation behind the Cylchoedd Meithrin, to build an affordable app for Welsh childcare.

Affordable matters. Going digital shouldn't be something only the biggest settings can manage, and a Welsh-language setting shouldn't have to settle for software that treats Welsh as an afterthought. Together we're building something that works in both languages, for the settings that need it.

What it does

  • CIW compliance
  • Flying Start and Childcare Offer invoicing
  • Curriculum for Wales tracking
  • Registers and children's records
  • Parent communication and daily care
  • English and Welsh throughout
